Recap: Norfolk Panthers vs. Lincoln High Links
The Norfolk Panthers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Lincoln High with points to spare, taking the game 50-34. That looming 50-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Norfolk yet this season.
Norfolk's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tasha Eisenhauer, who scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Eisenhauer has scored at least 25% of Norfolk's points. Skylar Indra was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ayana Owens and Aniyah Hicks-robinson certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Owens scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Hicks-robinson scored six points. The game was Owens' fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Norfolk's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Lincoln High, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-2 record last season and are now at 1-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norfolk will take on Burke at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Burke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Lincoln High, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln North Star on Thursday. Lincoln North Star will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
