Bath County piles up the points against Pocahontas County

They breezed by Pocahontas County on the road to the tune of 75-47. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bath County's disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 360th in Virginia, while Pocahontas County is ranked 115th in West Virginia).

Bath County was led to victory by Andrew Turner and Wyatt Campbell. Turner scored 22 points along with three steals, while Campbell scored 17 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Turner hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Luke Turner, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Pocahontas County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Bath County will head out on the road to challenge Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pocahontas County, they will square off against Richwood at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
