Southview Christian's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

It was a good run, but the Southview Christian Conquerors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Rockwell Christian School by a score of 35-32. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Southview Christian came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Rockwell Christian School is ranked 430th).

Rockwell Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylie Smith led the charge by scoring 12 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Rockwell Christian School's points. Another player making a difference was Cambrie Perry, who scored ten points.

Southview Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4. As for Rockwell Christian School, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southview Christian will square off against Surry HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockwell Christian School, they will head out on the road to face off against Tabernacle Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
