Basketball Recap: Jensen Beach Finds Playoff Glory Versus Sebastian River

It's playoff time, and Jensen Beach had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Sebastian River Sharks 48-34 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jensen Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayla Brinkley, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Brinkley has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Danielle Bell was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Jensen Beach smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, Sebastian River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore E'Mani Pryor went 6 for 7 on her way to 14 points. Pryor also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 86%. Another player making a difference was Davione Stinson, who had six points along with five assists and three steals.

Jensen Beach's record now sits at 20-6. As for Sebastian River, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.

As of now, neither Jensen Beach nor Sebastian River have any future games scheduled.
