Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin). They blew past the Hoopeston Cornjerkers 19-10 on Monday. The  win was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Hope Grissom looked comfortable as she  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin got a  massive  performance out of  Ella Acton, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That  triple was  Acton's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elli Tittle, who  went 3-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 18  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin now  has a winning record of 13-12. As for Hoopeston, their defeat was  their eighth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 6-10.
 Coming up, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will challenge Watseka at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Hoopeston, they will be playing at home against St. Thomas More  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Cornjerkers are facing the Sabers at the right time seeing as the Sabers are stuck on  a  12-game losing streak.
