It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Leonard had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 40-29. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Leonard as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leonard found their leader in underclassman Euterria Davis, who scored 23 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Leonard's points. Jenea D was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Leonard 74-16 at home. The win was just what Palm Beach Central needed coming off of a 77-44 defeat in their prior game.
Leonard's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Palm Beach Central, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Leonard was dealt a bruising 74-16 loss at the hands of Palm Beach Central when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Leonard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
