It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westlake had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They never let the Jena Giants get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Westlake's third in a row) raised their record to 22-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Jena, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-13 record.

Westlake will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Giants: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
