West Vigo is a perfect 10-0 against Owen Valley since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will square off against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. West Vigo will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While West Vigo's win against North Putnam wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted against the Cougars since May 18, 2016.

Meanwhile, Owen Valley hadn't done well against Northview recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Knights by a score of 10-6. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory was the third in a row for Owen Valley, bringing their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for West Vigo, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Everything went West Vigo's way against Owen Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as West Vigo made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
