Softball Game Preview: Plano Reapers vs. Parkview Christian Academy Falcons

The Plano Reapers will face off against the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Plano and 13 for Parkview Christian Academy dating back to last season.

On Friday, Plano didn't have quite enough to beat Somonauk and fell 4-3.

Lindsey Cocks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Parkview Christian Academy came up short against Heritage Christian on Thursday, falling 25-5. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 20 runs.

Parkview Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avah St Laurent, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were St Laurent's first of the season. Another was Caitlin Zenofio, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Plano's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything went Plano's way against Parkview Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Plano made off with a 23-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Reapers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
