Soccer Game Preview: Lutheran vs. Adams City

The Lutheran Lions will challenge the Adams City Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Adams City took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lutheran, who comes in off a win.

Lutheran took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. Their defense stepped up to hand Douglas County a 3-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lutheran were the better team in the second half.

Abby Megill and Brynlee Booher scored all three of Lutheran's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Adams City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Arvada West, falling 10-0.

Lutheran now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Adams City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
