Basketball Game Preview: North Rock Creek Cougars vs. Mount St. Mary Rockets

The North Rock Creek Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Mount St. Mary Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, North Rock Creek didn't have too much trouble with McLoud as they won 61-45.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount St. Mary). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Harding Fine Arts 60-32.

North Rock Creek is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Mount St. Mary, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

North Rock Creek took their win against Mount St. Mary in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 66-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Rock Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
