Preview: Springs Valley Blackhawks vs. Perry Central Commodores
The Springs Valley Blackhawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Perry Central Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Springs Valley is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
After only 18 points in their last match, Springs Valley made sure to put some points up on the board against Lanesville on Saturday. Springs Valley blew past Lanesville 76-51. With that win, Springs Valley brought their scoring average up to 54.6 points per game.
Deion Edwards continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Springs Valley's points. Another player making a difference was James Walls, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Perry Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The game between Perry Central and Wood Memorial wasn't particularly close, with Perry Central falling 57-40.
Springs Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Perry Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Springs Valley won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, slipping by Perry Central 61-60. Does Springs Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Perry Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
