Basketball Recap: Windsor Locks Comes Up Short

Windsor Locks lost against Ellington back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Windsor Locks Raiders took a 79-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellington Knights. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (65), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Windsor Locks lost, don't look at Sincere Monroe. Despite the final result, he went 14-for-35 to rack up 44 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That was a full 62% of Windsor Locks' points, marking the fourth time in a row Monroe has posted more than a third of the team's points. Jack Grasso was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Windsor Locks' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Ellington, they pushed their record up to 19-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Windsor Locks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellington, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Canton at 5:00 p.m.
