Basketball Recap: Dobson Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Dobson came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Skyline Coyotes with a 45-40 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Dobson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lana Shirley, who made all 7 shots she took to post 14 points. Another player making a difference was Aamani Nolletti, who posted ten points.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Cole, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and seven boards. Cole is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Jordan Seiuli was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Dobson's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16. As for Skyline, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-9.

Dobson has already played their next contest, a 47-33 loss against Mesa on the 4th. As for Skyline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-13 defeat against Red Mountain on the 4th.
