Soccer Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short

Sherman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Walnut Grove Wildcats, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Wildcats are ranked eighth).

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Walnut Grove, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Coming up, Sherman will host Anna at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walnut Grove, they are taking a road trip to take on McKinney North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (McKinney North has won six straight at home, while Walnut Grove won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
