Volleyball Game Preview: Van Wert Cougars vs. Jefferson Wildcats

Van Wert is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Jefferson a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Van Wert Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Jefferson Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Van Wert came up short against Bryan on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-10.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jefferson faced off against Spencerville on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Bearcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-15.

Van Wert will have to contain Alissa Gallmeier as she made an impact in Jefferson's last game. She had five digs and one block.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Van Wert, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
