Soccer Recap: Armijo Finishes Even with Florin

On Monday, neither the Armijo Royals nor the Florin Panthers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 5-5 draw. The outcome might've been different if Jaibet Hernandez Leon hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Armijo hit Florin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Artemio Perez Valadez (2), Miguel Sanchez Ramirez, Haroon Salarzai, and Jose Becerra Flores.

Armijo's draw makes their record 7-6-3 this season. As for Florin, they moved theirs to 6-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armijo will venture away from home to square off against West Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Florin, they will challenge Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
