Baseball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Crismon Rattlers

The St. Mary's Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Crismon Rattlers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Mary's comes in on three and Crismon on seven.

Last Wednesday, St. Mary's earned a 7-3 win over Arcadia.

Mikey Nanez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bily Lewis, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Crismon earned an 8-4 victory over Saguaro on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Easton Wilsford, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aaron Sanchez, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Crismon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in three consecutive matches.

St. Mary's record now sits at 12-5. As for Crismon, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Mary's has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Crismon struggles in that department as they've averaged .543. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
