Softball Recap: Bartow Wins Going Away Against Hardee

Bartow never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hardee Wildcats with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Brooklyn Tyson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Niamah Johnson and Emma Huffman did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Huffman got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Huffman has posted since back in March. Shay Parker was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Bartow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Bartow's record is now 19-6. As for Hardee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

As of now, neither Bartow nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
