Soccer Game Preview: Union County vs. Rockmart

The Union County Panthers will square off against the Rockmart Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Union County is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Murphy on Tuesday. Neither Union County nor Murphy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Rockmart fell victim to Coahulla Creek and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Colts. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Colts are ranked 161st).

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. Union County's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-1.
