Baseball Recap: Newberry Takes a Loss

After flying high against Swansea on Tuesday, Newberry came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Tigers on Wednesday, falling 13-7. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Newberry's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Swansea, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Looking ahead, Newberry will head out to challenge Fairfield Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Griffins at the right time seeing as the Griffins are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Swansea, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edisto at 6:30 p.m.
