Clarksville had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came out on top against the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles by a score of  28-19.
 Ahvare Galbreath was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 87 yards and two  TDs, while also picking up 39 receiving yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clarksville was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 243  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 221  rushing yards in six consecutive  games.
 Clarksville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Joshua Anderson and  Max Cunningham. Anderson also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with nine.
 When it comes to explaining why Shelbyville Central lost, don't look at  Stephen Bobo. Despite the final result, he rushed for 128 yards and a pair of  scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 164 yards  on nine of 19 attempts. Bobo's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Clarksville's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Shelbyville Central, they now  have a losing record of 3-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Clarksville and Antioch will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31  points  in their last seven contests. As for Shelbyville Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ravenwood  on Friday. The Raptors' defense has only allowed 13.9  points per game  this season, so the Golden Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
