Basketball Recap: Swan Valley Takes a Loss

Swan Valley lost against Alma back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Swan Valley Vikings fell 57-47 to the Alma Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Panthers are ranked 111th).

Swan Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Alma, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Coming up, Swan Valley will challenge Freeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Swan Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Alma, they will head out on the road to take on Frankenmuth at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
