Soccer Recap: Cairo Takes a Loss

Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bainbridge Bearcats. Cairo were not able to make up for their loss to Bainbridge from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Cairo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bainbridge, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Cairo wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 victory against Westover on the 25th. As for Bainbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Monroe on the 25th.
