Football Recap: Shorecrest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Shorecrest was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They and the Everett Seagulls were almost perfectly matched up, but the Scots suffered an 8-7 loss. The Scots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seagulls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Leading Everett to victory were Ian Lorio and Kai Schmidt. Lorio rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown, while Schmidt picked up 60 receiving yards.

Shorecrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Everett, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shorecrest will take on rival Lynnwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Everett is set to square off against their familiar foe Edmonds-Woodway at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
