Basketball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Titusville last Friday, Franklin came back down to earth. The Franklin Knights fell 52-43 to the Fort LeBoeuf Bison on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Bison are ranked 143rd).

When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, don't look at Will Findlan. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Umbenhaur, who put up seven points.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Franklin will face off against Conneaut Area at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they will square off against Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Oil City will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fort LeBoeuf surely won't give up without a fight.
