Greenwich extended their winning streak to seven on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 15-3 in the process. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stillwater Warriors, sneaking past 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 last Wednesday.

As for Stillwater, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 23, 2023, but that streak is no more.

For Stillwater's part, Eden Resch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Stillwater saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Russell, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Russell has hit this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwich will square off against Hoosic Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Witches' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Stillwater, they will challenge Saratoga Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
