Baseball Recap: Bellingham's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Bellingham can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Oxford Pirates. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blackhawks considering their one-run performance the game before.

Doug Walton was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Barry, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellingham will welcome Millis at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Mohawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Blackhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oxford, they will face off against Auburn at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
