A feisty cat fight will be fought as McNairy Central Bobcats face off against Bolivar Central Tigers at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday. McNairy Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, McNairy Central didn't have quite enough to beat Jackson North Side and fell 7-6.

Kendall Kiestler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Hickman, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Bolivar Central might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-1 to Trinity Christian Academy, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Bolivar Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Boatwright, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

McNairy Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bolivar Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1.
