Four must be Hempstead's lucky number: they beat Cedar Falls with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on Tuesday.

Hempstead pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Cedar Falls, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hempstead will head out to take on Linn-Mar at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
