Baseball Recap: Uwharrie Charter Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest Guilford, Uwharrie Charter Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Chatham Central Bears get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won nine in a row.

Logun Wilkins tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Uwharrie Charter Academy got a massive performance out of Rusty Wheless, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Grat Dalton, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
