Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Strouble Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roger Bacon, Miami Valley Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Norwood Indians 3-0. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Miami Valley Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-12, 25-18.

Miami Valley Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Strouble, who had 23 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Strouble has posted over her last five matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Maycee Richardson, who had 11 digs.

Miami Valley Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Norwood, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-5.

Miami Valley Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Cincinnati Country Day on the 11th. As for Norwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Seven Hills at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
