The South Fork Bulldogs just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Moore Haven Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully South Fork focused on turnovers this week as the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
South Fork is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They were outmatched by Jensen Beach on the road and fell 62-28. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row dating back to last season.
Despite the loss, South Fork saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kylee Brooks went 5 for 8 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivianna Morales, who scored five points plus eight rebounds and six blocks.
Meanwhile, Moore Haven took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 56-8 victory over Glades Central.
Moore Haven can attribute much of their success to Sa'Nyree Myers, who went 5 for 12 en route to 16 points plus six steals, and Preslynn Baker, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Myers' third in a row with at least ten points. Charisma Micco was another key player, posting four points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals.
