Softball Recap: Pleasant Comes Up Short

Galion hit Pleasant with a six-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans fell 9-5 to the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Quinn Wilson stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Staley, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Galion, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant will square off against Marion Harding at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Galion, they will challenge Perkins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
