Baseball Recap: Continental Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Continental's offense. They came up short against the Kalida Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Continental saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Pitney, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Continental's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Kalida, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Continental will take on Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kalida, they will face off against Ayersville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
