Basketball Recap: Expression Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Expression Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Point Pointers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 46th in West Virginia, while the Pointers are ranked 251st in Ohio).

Expression Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for South Point, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Coming up, Expression Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wesley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for South Point, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-51 victory against Expression Prep Academy on the 15th.
