Cooper Hinton's Big Game Leads Greenfield-Central over New Castle

Starting off the list is Greenfield-Central's Cooper Hinton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hinton made 16 total tackles (1.0 for loss). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

New Castle had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hinton it was a similar story. Hinton picked up a sack, made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended two passes the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in October of 2023.

New Palestine picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Josh Ranes. Ranes did his part (and then some), rushing for 235 yards while picking up 12.4 yards per carry for the 'W'. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Ranes might have his next game, a road matchup with Mt. Vernon, circled on his calendar. Ranes rushed for 119 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries the last time he and the Marauders duked it out back in September.

New Palestine Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Jacob Davis

New Palestine picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jacob Davis. Davis did his part (and then some), throwing for 138 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 44 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.

On the year, Davis has thrown 17 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 152.9 passing yards per game.

Keaton Jones Delivers Electric Performance Vs Shelbyville

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Keaton Jones stepped things up a notch to give Pendleton Heights the 'W'. Shelbyville had no answer to Jones as he rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns.

Jones might have his next game, a road matchup with New Castle, circled on his calendar. Back in September (the last time Jones saw the Trojans), he rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

Cade Logston Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Cade Logston of New Castle. Logston made six total tackles and defended a pass. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 59 yards.

New Castle is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5. Logston and New Castle will venture away from home to square off against Pendleton Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
