Silverton is 8-2 against South Albany since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Foxes will challenge the Redhawks at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Silverton's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
On Friday, Silverton made easy work of Crescent Valley and carried off a 14-7 victory. Considering the Foxes have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mckenzee Petersen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Silverton got a massive performance out of Brynnlee Dalisky, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Dalisky a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexington Rains, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Silverton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .513 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Central hit South Albany with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Redhawks came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-2. The Redhawks haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
South Albany saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Tschida, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Silverton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Albany, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Silverton hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like South Albany struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Silverton's way against South Albany when the teams last played back in April, as Silverton made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Foxes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
