Millington had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They never let the Bad Axe Hatchets get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. 16 seems to be a good number for the Cardinals as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lukas Henderson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Garret Woodward, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Gauge Woelzlien was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Millington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Millington's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Bad Axe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
