Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale lost against Rockvale back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverdale Warriors had to suffer through a 70-25 loss at the hands of Rockvale. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Rockvale are ranked 57th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rockvale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jade Watson, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 15 points and five boards. What's more, Watson also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ayeden Wilkerson, who went 6 for 8 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Riverdale now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Rockvale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Riverdale has already played their next game (against Siegel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rockvale has already played their next contest, a 62-56 loss against Oakland on the 31st.
