Softball Recap: La Salle Find Success

After losing to Glendale the last time they met, La Salle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lancers walked away with an 11-8 win over the Nitros on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Havana Pagan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on 12 hits.

On the hitting side, Layla Loya was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Jessica Young, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4.

La Salle's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Glendale, they now have a losing record of 8-9-1.

Coming up, La Salle will face off against Pomona Catholic at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glendale, they will square off against Muir at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
