Volleyball Recap: Trinity Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Emma Nance and Charlee Phillips + How To Watch

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the McMichael Phoenix. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Phoenix from their previous meeting back in October of 2022.

Trinity started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 21-25, 25-10, 25-13, 15-10.

Charlee Phillips and Emma Nance certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Phillips had 26 digs and one assist, while Nance had 43 assists and six digs.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for McMichael, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Trinity will challenge North Moore at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for McMichael, they will face off against Bartlett Yancey at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
