Basketball Game Preview: Estancia Eagles vs. Elsinore Tigers

The Estancia Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Elsinore Tigers on Monday.

Estancia is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Valencia on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Estancia came up short against Valencia, falling 64-43. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1212th, while the Tigers are ranked 382nd).

Meanwhile, Elsinore posted their biggest win since January 20th on Saturday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Lynwood 76-56.

Elsinore has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Estancia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
