Softball Game Preview: Columbus International Lions vs. Briggs Bruins

The Columbus International Lions will head out to take on the Briggs Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Columbus International made up a huge gap compared to their last game against East, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions blew past the Tigers 25-10 on Wednesday. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Briggs made easy work of Africentric Early College on Wednesday and carried off a 16-1 win. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 15 runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Briggs and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Columbus International, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.
