Basketball Recap: Pottsville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Conrad Weiser

Pottsville scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 85-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conrad Weiser Scouts. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (56), the Crimson Tide still had to take the loss.

Pottsville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Christian Alvarez, who made all 9 shots he took for 23 points, and Ryder Bowers, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 21 points. Alvarez's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Derek Watkins, who posted ten points.

Pottsville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Conrad Weiser, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.
