It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Avon can now relate to. They fell just short of the Brownsburg Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Orioles' defeat signaled the end of their 20-game winning streak.

Avon actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 15-13.

Kate Vrabel went supernova for Brownsburg, getting 34 digs. Vrabel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Becca Rogers, who had six digs and three aces.

Avon's loss dropped their record down to 25-9. As for Brownsburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Avon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brownsburg, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Center Grove at 4:00 p.m. Center Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Brownsburg surely won't give up without a fight.
