Preview: Mercer County Titans vs. Henderson County Colonels
The Mercer County Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Henderson County Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mercer County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Mercer County pushed their score all the way to 71 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Wayne County by a score of 73-71. Mercer County has not had much luck with Wayne County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Henderson County put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Pike Central by a score of 53-46. Given Henderson County's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked third in Kentucky, while Pike Central is ranked 311th in Indiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mercer County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Henderson County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
