Basketball Recap: Clear Creek's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Clear Creek easily dispatched Clear Springs last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Clear Creek Wildcats fell just short of the Dickinson Gators by a score of 65-62 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since November 8, 2024.

Jazmine Hansley was her usual excellent self, going 9 of 18 en route to 28 points along with eight steals and five assists for Dickinson. That's the most points Hansley has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kyndall Hosea, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

The loss snapped Clear Creek's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 22-5 record. As for Dickinson, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-8.

Clear Creek will challenge Deer Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Clear Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Dickinson, they will square off against Clear Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Clear Brook has won six straight at home, while Dickinson won 14 straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
