Volleyball Game Preview: Marana Tigers vs. Rincon/University Rangers

The Marana Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Rincon/University Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Marana came up short against Tucson High Magnet School and fell 3-1.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Marana lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Rincon/University entered their tilt with Sunnyside on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Blue Devils 3-0.

Rincon/University walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-16.

Rincon/University's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-7. As for Marana, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Marana couldn't quite get it done against Rincon/University when the teams last played on Thursday as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
