Western Albemarle entered their tilt with Orange County on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Orange County Fighting Hornets 65-35. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Fighting Hornets are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Western Albemarle has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Orange County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Western Albemarle will welcome Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Albemarle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Monticello likes a good challenge. As for Orange County, they will challenge Fluvanna County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orange County is facing Fluvanna County at the right time seeing as Fluvanna County is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
